What are my fertility options?

Whether you need a simple solution like ovulation induction or intrauterine insemination (IUI) or more complex treatment to overcome your infertility such as IVF or PGD, Genea Oxford is your best option, offering you world leading science and care.

There are a number of different assisted conception treatments that may be part of the best plan for you, which depend on the reasons you’re having trouble conceiving. Each of our fertility treatments aim to increase your chance of pregnancy by enhancing what happens in nature, either by increasing the number of sperm that get to where the egg is, increasing the number of eggs available for fertilisation or helping make sure that the embryo is the healthiest one available.

We do things a little differently to other clinics because we’ve invested approximately 10 per cent of revenue annually in R&D since we started helping people create families over 30 years ago.

The chance of pregnancy with any assisted conception technique will depend on:

The woman’s age;

The reason/s why pregnancy hasn’t happened naturally;

The expertise and technology of the clinic; and

The strength and quality of the embryos that a couple produce.

While couples with mild infertility do have a chance of becoming pregnant naturally, that chance is reduced by factors such as a low sperm count, irregular ovulation, endometriosis, scarring of the fallopian tubes, fibroids or the increasing age of the woman. The right method of assisted conception can speed up the process of becoming pregnant.

For couples experiencing infertility due to an extremely low (or zero) sperm count, no ovulation or completely blocked fallopian tubes – assisted conception will be the only way for them to fall pregnant.

AMI Hospital Vadodara offers a number of different techniques for assisting conception including:

Assisted insemination (also known as intrauterine insemination, or IUI);

Ovulation induction; and in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and variations of IVF.

Monitoring cycles – Timing is everything for pregnancy

At Ami Hospital Vadodara, we understand that better timing optimises your chance of success. That is tracking your ovulation, timing of sex, your egg collection or that all important embryo development and transfer at a time when it’s right for your body not just convenient for the clinic.

All assisted conception techniques involve monitoring your cycle to time procedures precisely. Developing follicles secrete increasing amounts of oestrogen, particularly oestradiol (E2) and so we use regular blood tests that measure the level of E2 to detect a growing follicle.

Vaginal ultrasound examinations enable us to further monitor the ovarian response by counting and measuring the growing follicles as the E2 level rises. Once follicles reach 18-20 mm in diameter, they are big enough to produce a mature egg.

At Infertility treatment Clinic Vadodara, we try not to interfere with your day-to-day life. Blood tests and ultrasounds for cycle monitoring are done early in the morning, enabling you to get on with the rest of your day.
